Sheltered in place is an unexpected opportunity to get your performance videos polished and good to go, for applications (when live performance comes roaring back) or even online shows. This specially adapted "quarantine" version of Jonny Porkpie's "Making A Better Application Video" Class (featured at BurlyCon for the past three years) will help you capture your striptease genius on film in the comfort of your own legally mandated home. All you need is a smartphone (to film), a computer (to edit), and your talent (to perform).

You'll get insight into what adjudicators do (and don't) want to see in application footage, as well as concepts and best practices for strutting your stuff off on video. Filled with tips and pointers for putting your best foot (and other body parts) forward, the class includes a step-by-step demonstration of simple yet effective filming and editing. (Note: This is not an on-depth software tutorial, but a best-practices overview.)

To register, email schoolofburlesque@gmail.com with the words "April 11 Making A Better Application Video" in the subject line of your email, and you will receive a Zoom invitation the day of the class. No additional registrations will be processed after 2 pm on the day of the class, but email immediately if you haven't received your invitation by then.
