About Your Instructor
Mia Victoria Preisser, known as Mia “The MVP,” is a South Bronx-born burlesque performer, choreographer, and creative producer celebrated for her dynamic fan dances and commanding stage presence. With over a decade of experience performing at Duane Park NYC, Bathtub Gin, and The Burlesque Show at The Borgata, she both starred as Josephine Baker and served as choreographer for Ziegfeld’s Midnight Frolic—which ran for eight months in Times Square and was praised as “excellent” by The New York Times. A breast cancer survivor and multidisciplinary artist, MVP merges Old Hollywood fantasy with bold theatricality, reclaiming narratives of Black sensuality, artistry, and power. Through her creative empire, The Cat Cult, she continues to fuse performance, ritual, and visual storytelling into a movement of glamour, grit, and grace.
