Masculine Burlesque for the Gentleman Performer with Jett Adore

12-1.20 pm
$25
Jett Adore's "Masculine Burlesque for the Gentleman Performer" Workshop How can a male burlesque performer achieve a truly male counterpart to this historically feminine art form? How can he balance playfulness, elaborate theatricality, comedy, drama, and/or clever inventiveness, while never compromising legitimate masculine sex appeal? The most captivating ladies of Burlesque history have defined their own ideas of femininity, and Jett will propose ways to find inspiration from them and workshop how to translate that inspiration to exploit, exaggerate, and re-imagine your masculinity and your seductive manpower.

Power in Silence with Paco Fish

1.30-2.50 pm
$25
There is power in silence and strength in stillness. If you want to get big laughs from your jokes and big cheers for your teasing, your reveals must make an impact. In this class, we will explore stillness and movement as contrasting tools for communication. We will focus on clarity of movement, communicating silently, building tension, and creating strong moments. Students should wear comfortable clothes in which they can move freely.

The Arc of the Tease with Jonny Porkpie

3-430 pm
$25
You have an amazing costume, brilliant concept, and incredible moves. How do you take your act to the next level? Answer: Arc, the rising tension from lights up to dress down. Curtains open and you have only a few minutes to establish, develop and conclude a burlesque mini-drama... while taking off your clothes. Whether story number or classic tease, comedy bit or slow seduction, character exploration, acrobatic extravaganza, or all at once, a good arc can be the difference between an audience liking your act... and loving it.
